Royal Marines Prep
Royal Marines Prep
UK military fitness preparation for Royal Marines PJFA, CPC, ROP and recruit training.
Complete Commando is not an official Armed Forces recruitment site. It is where candidates come to prepare properly before and during the process.
Training is built around the standards that matter: running, bodyweight strength, swimming confidence, conditioning, mobility and recovery.
Whether you are looking at Royal Marines, Army, Navy or RAF, the first job is the same: build the body and habits to cope with selection.
Selection roadmap
Know the route before you train.
The official Royal Marines joining route moves through application, aptitude, interview, fitness assessment, RM CPC and then training. Your preparation should match those demands early.
Choose the role, check the basic criteria and begin the official application route.
Complete the application and prepare for the Defence Aptitude Assessment.
Be ready to explain your motivation, standards, preparation and understanding of the role.
Build physical readiness before the Pre-Joining Fitness Assessment so you are not scrambling late.
Arrive with fitness, swimming confidence and basic robustness already in place.
Use structured training to keep progressing towards recruit training at CTC Lympstone.
Readiness check
